Time is everywhere: on your phone, your laptop, on the wall. Yet you wear a watch. Not for the time, but for what the object is.

Your day isn't built around office hours, but around five fixed moments. No screen displays them as you need them. This instrument does.

Display the prayer times

Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha for your city. The times are pre-calculated per city and taqweem, with the option for daylight saving time, and stored in the clock. The instrument knows and displays them.

Indicates the qibla

Points to the qibla from the city you choose. Discreetly on the dial, without proving anything.

Angle-based standard calculations do not yield a usable result in summer above approximately 48Β°N. The instrument incorporates an adjustment rule for this. In the mechanism, not in the small print.

Your choices

The calculation method that suits your region, or that of your mosque if you prefer. A switchable audible beep. Your name on the display.

This watch doesn't serve you. It serves the moment.

Al-Battani, Al-Khwarizmi, and the muwaqqits of Damascus and Cairo measured the heavens to find prayer times. They worked with the greatest care and craftsmanship because of their faith, not despite it. Somewhere along the way, that unity was lost.

MESSOUD stands in that tradition. That tradition is intellectual and spiritual, not genetic: whoever recited the shahada yesterday is just as fully part of it as anyone else.
